Lamson students will prepare for and take the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) Certified Personal Trainer and NASM Certified Nutrition Coach exams during their PFT program.

Lamson graduates are also prepared to test for additional industry-recognized professional certifications through other major certifying organizations, including: American Council on Exercise (ACE), National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA), and American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM).

Personal Fitness Trainers work in a variety of workplaces from gyms, health clubs, recreation centers, yoga and pilates studios, cruise ships, resorts, educational institutions, and in private practices. Personal Fitness Trainers may also be self-employed, and now – more than ever before – PFTs are able to work remotely, utilizing technology to deliver virtual training sessions.
